St Joseph Miri school girl bullying incident
Someone posted the video of the incident on youtube, but it has been removed dunno since when. But you can still watch it here. It was a video taken using a cellphone, close range and clear. It was rumored that the victim is from the nearby St Co, and those bullies are from St Joe. But it has already been reported in the Chinese newspapers (Sin Chew and China Press, both online) I saw the video when someone told me about it. Both made it to the front page of the websites.

It's such a shame that this kinda thing happened, in Miri. It's a total shame to the community.
The poor sudent who got bullied in the video was slapped repeatedly, hit, hit with a belt and they were some guy students who were just standing around. It all took place somewhere in Tanjung Lobang. The video on youtube got a lot of comments, many of them hate comments, swearing with obscene languages at the wrongful actions of the girls. 99% of the comments are aimed at the pihak bersalah. And there was one which caught my attention, one that would stop adding fuel to fire.
"To the girls who did it:

Malaysian bloggers. Liewcf , SixthSeal
Liewcf.com: A personal tech site on latest technology news, free stuff, make money online, tech gadgets, product reviews, computing tips and tricks, and other interesting stuff.
Started off with plenty of interesting stuffs. Now expanded to several sub-blogs, thus maybe redistributed the info around. Lots of ads on the main frontpage. Featured in magazines about money making through blogging advertising. Still, the posts remain good and solid.
Sixthseal.com: Malaysian blog about food and drugs by a Sibu born blogger with daily posts and photos taken using a digicam. My fellow Sarawakian. He won some best blog award one year. (I can't remember what and when) Featured in national papers for some drug information after being written in by some religious guy. Very good posts with a good command of English (I don't know why I said that)

A true friend
A true friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out.
That was the fortune cookie slip from yesterday.

Hit on the head with pennies, but not me
A while back, a bunch of friends and I were walking back to Yip's my friend's place after getting a DVD rental from Blockbuster on State Street. Then a car drove past us as we were walking by the pathway next to the apartment, and some guy just threw a stack of pennies towards us and some of the pennies hit poor Steve's one of my friend's forehead. Initially I thought someone stepped onto some broken-yesterday-drunk-leftover-glass. Nope, it was some pennies. They might be worth little, but they sure hurt ya on the head!

Only to find out the server is busy because too many "jakuns" are hammering the servers at the same time. Suck donkey balls.
"Thank you for your interest in Windows Vista Beta 2.

Summary Post (Midwest Games 2006, Sick, Admin, Minneapolis Weekend, Class)
The Midwest Games 2006 edition was held at Madison, Wisconsin over the Memorial Day weekend (05/26 - 05/28)
http://shahstudio.fotopages.com (My friend's fotopage with some photos of the event taken with his Digital SLR)
http://www.midwestgames2006.com (The official website of Midwest Games 2006)
It was an exciting event boasting some 800+ Malaysian students from all over the US taking part in the annual event. I didn't really get the most out of it because I was too busy taking care of the men's basketball thingy. Still, managed to stay smiley and all friendly to mask out the endless shortcomings and blunders by the organizing people. All were friendly and shit. Just here to have fun.
Due to the amount of work and the lack of sleeping hours plus the violation of drink-a-lot-of-water-everyday rule, I was down with some sore throat and flu which would later lead to fever and cough. Nope, MSD is not reimbursing neither of the poor non-committee workers who had to work their asses off and live by their unnoticed contributions. I missed 2 weeks of my part time job because I was really sick.
At the same time, I had to go to the College of Engineering offices to sort out some admin stuffs, which could turn into some serious problems if not taken care of asap.
Then I somehow got "left out" of the list of people to the Minneapolis trip. Other than spendrift, fun and camaraderie, procrastination might very well be the final word to describe the trip. Left Madison at 10pm instead of 7.30pm. Arrived in Minneapolis probably around 2.30am when the 1st group who arrived on Thursday had already come back from the much anticipated drinking session. The next morning, those staying in Minneapolis woke up early and got themselves ready to go, but the other group in Eagan wasn't quite ready yet. We were supposed to go for the Mandarin Kitchen (Super fabulously delicious dim sum) early, but we sill made it by noon. Then it was decided that we would all go to the Aberville Prime Outlet malls and shop our money away. There weren't that many things to buy actually, but there were so many shops that I ended up buying some unnecessary stuffs and burned a huge hole in my pocket, which was really unnecessary as well.
I got myself a Puma Ferrari shirt which I would proudly showcase for the US GrandPrix in Indianapolis in a month's time. Then there's this pair of Climacool socks by Adidas, this Dockers fall jacket, this Nike soccer guard stays. Then later in the night, we set out for some Go Kart activity at Pro Kart Indoor Racing in Burnesville, MN. On Sunday, we would then drag our lazy asses to Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. Spent some few hours there, had dinner at Hooters before making our way back to Madison.
My 4-week summer class (Marriage and Family) had already started. Hammered with all the stacks of articles everyday really kills.
