It has been more than 6 months since I splashedout $400 for my unlocked Cingular 8125. I think it is time for me to upgrade. and I am looking at Blackberry pearl (maybe?). You can do all thing with this PDA.

Tech: Taiwan Earthquake Disrupts Internet in Malaysia

Malaysian Internet users woke up yesterday morning to a crawl on the so-called information superhighway that would have rivalled KL’s infamous traffic jams.

Local access to Internet services and websites hosted overseas came to a practical standstill after international links were disrupted by the earthquake that struck southern Taiwan on Tuesday night.

The earthquake damaged submarine cables that form part of the region-wide Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN 2), disrupting voice and Internet communications over much of Asia.

APCN 2 is a 19,000km-long fibre-optic cable network linking Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, Europe and Australia.

The network has been up since October 2002 and is jointly operated by 26 Asian telecommunications carriers, including TM Bhd.

The damaged links are between Shantou (China) and Tanshui (Taiwan), and, Lantau (Hong Kong) and Chongming (China).

Internet service provider (ISP) Jaring said the disruption started at 3.45am yesterday, and warned users to expect congestion to and from overseas websites during peak hours.

TM Net said in a statement the disruption caused outages to several of its international transit and peering links.

The ISP said Malaysian Internet users would experience “some delay” in accessing content and websites hosted overseas, especially in the United States, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea and Europe.

2006 Photograph of the Year Contest

You should join the 2006 Photograph of the Year Contest if you're really into photography. It should be a good opportunity for those who have the hobby of photography. Nothing to lose to give it a shot. I have visited some of my friends' websites where they posted up their hobby works. Pretty good work!

One is Mun Weng's (who does freelance)
and another one is ShahStudio Fotopages (who is doing it as a hobby). Shah has been updating his website with new photos and sending me MSN messages whenever he does.

The PhotographyCorner.com 2006 Photograph of the Year contest is open to anyone and with over $14,000 in prizes available to win, it should be an easy opportunity for anyone who has a camera.
For more information about the contest, check out 2006 Photograph of the Year Contest

Can you believe it? $14G's up for grab! I cut out newspaper photos of tennis players and astrology when I was 11 or 12. I wish someone in my family had encouraged me down that road. Probably I could enter the contest with one really great photo by now. Maybe I will give it a shot. SHould really start working on it right now if you don'thave anyhting in mind yet.

65nm Xbox 360 CPU refresh delayed until 2007+

Bad news for those potential Xbox fanboys out there waiting for a cooler and less power-hungry Xbox before they spring for that nifty white box: DigiTimes is reporting that Microsoft's upcoming 65nm processors -- the current 360s are running those oh-so-2005 90nm chips -- have been delayed, and won't be making it off the production line until mid-2007, at least a quarter after current projections.

Of course, the main source of noise on the box is really the disc drive, and we hope this doesn't mean Microsoft will hold off much longer on a price cut (no, not that price cut) but we really wouldn't mind a little bit of modern processor tech in this thing, so we'll hope Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, Microsoft's partner in chip-building crime, will pull through on this one and deliver those 65nm chips right on schedule.

Switch to New Blogger?

Should I Be Switching to the New Blogger

Can anyone who has switched to the new blogger (previously known as Blogger beta) share with me their experience?

* Are thereany significant improvements?
* what are the best new features?
* Did you lose your customization?
* Did you have to adjust your layout?
* Did it take you long to categorise your postings?
* Were you able to make use of the current template you were using or did you have to change to one of blogger's customized templates?
* Can you describe your switching experience?
* Which do you prefer? The new Blogger or the old.

I think I was able to switch but I wouldn't wanna do that yet because I was afraid I might need to change some of the properties in the template settings.

Universal USB Phone Charger Doesn't Work

This universal USB phone charger I bought a while ago does not work. It has 5 connector heads for Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and some other brands. It is not specified though which are the 5 models.
I plugged it into a Nokia phone, and the screen on the phone says NOT CHARGING.

This item is a scam and a waste of money. Sucks!

Review: Xper Hard Drive Cooler 2 60mm fans

This is an Xper Hard Drive Cooler with 2 60mm fans which I used to attach to my Seagate 200GB hard drive. I have my OS in this hard drive and I have this running almost 24/7. So I figure that I would like to chill it a bit so it doesn't overheat, although that never happened to me before. Installation was a breeze.Just screw it under the hard drive you want to cool, and then connect the power connectors. The power connector does not take up one slot of your available power connector as it is a in between connector. It just slips in between any active connectors.

After installling the cooler, the hard drive temperature as observed by CPUfan does show improvements. Temperatures are lower by 3-4 degrees Celcius.

This kinda cooler fan is widely available on any computer retailers online for less than $10. Definitely worth an investment, just a tiny investment.

Payperpost on Youtube

payperpost is on Youtube

this video is one of its videos uploaded there.

This is episode 2 of RockStartUp. It's 8:25 minutes long. Ted and Britt crash the Today Show in New York City and were handing out free signs and finger foams etc.. with payperpost logos.

The handed out signs for people to write on, you know, those fans who stand by the road and wanna get their faces on camera and say hi and have holiday greetings for their loved ones at home. I think that a pretty slick idea from payperpost to hand out free empty boards or signs and offer them to write their holiday messages and promote payperpost at the same time. Free advertising and promo. On national TV! Can't beat that. And in the video they showed those guys of payperpost at a convention, having a booth for customers to enquire about.

There are some 37 videos that payperpost has uploaded to youtube, varying from announcements to confessions(!!) from the people at payperpost.

What is Hors d'œuvre? (Hors d'oeuvre)

Remember the McDonald's commercial where the boyfriend was saying "Samantha wants Hors d'oeuvres"? I wasn't sure what Hors d'oeuvre were. I really wanted to google it up or wiki it up. But that took a while. Finally, now that I am done with finals, I was cleaning up my table and saw a piece of memo that served as a reminder. Hence, I searched online only to find out it's just the French word for appetizers. Heck. No big deal after all. It's appetizers people. Sounds lavish.

Online Calendar Service (American Greetings)

If you are oone of those people who forget the birthdays of your friends, then you probably should sign up with services like BirthdayAlarm or any other birthday reminder services which I don;t remember right now. I have an account with BirthdayAlarm but I seldom use it, so it's not that useful for me after all. Then there's American Greetings’ free online calendar which also has birthday and event reminders, sent to your email or cell phone (text messaging may incur extra carrier charges depending on your plan).

The online calendar even sends you eCard suggestions, for remembering special people on special days. Neat option but not necessary for me. I am the type who prefer to keep extra reminders away, but it is still a cool option there.

You can keep track of important events, coordinate schedules and express your personal style - all with this free online calendar. Online calendar is like a personal organiser, just that it's online. But that's good. You can easily access it anytime.

Walmart Has Nintendo Wii Gift Card

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Walmart has this Nintendo Wii gift card for $249.24.
It is not restricted to Nintendo Wii. Owners can use it to buy anything from Walmart.
There's no expiration date, so they can use it to buy the Wii when one becomes available.
Gift card is valid for Every Day value of Wii exclusive of tax or shipping. However, Receipt of Gift Card does not guarantee availability of Wii for purchase in all locations. (LOL)

So this might be a lil hefty as a gift, but if you've got the money, splash it onto someone who really wants a Wii for Christmas, I bet that lucky fella would love it. I know I would.

Payperpost - Get Paid For Blogging?

I stumbled upon PayPerPost on some random blog and just decided to check it out for the heck of it. It turns out that PPP (as they usually call it) is a very good way to finance one's blog or website or whatever.
PayPerPost allows bloggers to get paid for blog advertising. It is an intelligent move, I must say, by PPP to launch this service as it is an instant hit! Words spreaded out faster that wildfire and so many blogs have PPP related contents on them. Wowh!
With PayPerPost advertisers are willing to pay you for your opinion on various topics. Search through a list of opportunities, make a blog posting, get your content approved, and get paid. It's that simple.
Payments are received through Paypal after 30 days of of posting and after they check that it still meets the requirements set by the advertisers.

Blogging has evolved. It has. This post is sponsored by Payperpost

Freedom Tower

Freedom Tower is the centerpiece building of the new World Trade Center complex currently planned for Lower Manhattan. Construction began on April 27 2006. It is projected to be completed by year 2012, some six years away from now.

The height to the top of the spire is set to be 1,776 feet (541 m), a tribute to the year 1776, when the United States Declaration of Independence was drafted.

The Freedom Tower is intended to be taller than Chicago's Sears Tower and become the tallest building in the United States, and among the tallest buildings in the world when completed.

It is gonna surpass Taipei 101 of Taiwan as the tallest building in the world, an honor once held by Kuala Lumpur's Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia.

Cancel t-mobile and/or cingular w/o penalty! :)

I came across a post on SD. The tile says "Cancel t-mobile and/or cingular w/o penalty! :)"

not sure if this has been posted before, but regardless

Recently I figured out a loop hole in the Cingular/T-mobile contract system ...

Normally they charge $175 or something /line for cancellation; if you are in midst of a contract, and want to cancel it, this should work out easy (did it for me ) ::

Upgrade your plan (you can downgrade it if you want) such that you have to renew your contract; I upgraded mine from a single line to a family plan. This renewed my 2-yr contract. It is sort of like signing up for a new service all-together.

Now you can cancel your service with 14 (for t-mobile i believe) and 30 (for cingular) days without any penalty!

MAKE SURE TO ASK THEM WHEN YOU SIGN UP IF YOU CAN CANCEL IT WITHOUT ANY PENALTY WITHIN 14/30 DAYS!!

I was actually able to get 2 razrs at wicked cheap prices and ebayed em for profit; they might or might not ask you to return the equipment -- they didn't ask me to return it. Also if they happen to ask you, pretend you dropped the call and call in again -- might get lucky -- even though the CSR didn't ask me to return the phones, apparently I do have to; so no free phones!

Anyway, figured I'd share it with you guys. Hope this helps out someone

New TV Guide

Me and my housemate are currently shopping for a new TV. Yes, we did survive one semester without a TV in our living room (Go we!)

Then I came across this New TV Guide website which is very useful.Choosing a TV from leading brands has never been easier. We have been looking at a possible Sony or some flat screen TV.

There's even a section on How to Choose and Buy a Television. This site's layout is organised and you'll have no problem navigating through it to find the information that you want. This is a sponsored post.

Haunted Hotels

A Guide to Haunted Hotels and Lodging

This is gonna be interesting. Getting freaky. Probably gonna give some readers goosebumps.

The main page of the website, you can navigate through by selecting whichever state you want. I chose Wisconsin and found 1 hotel entry, the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. Visitors can choose United Kingdom as well, great for all the British fans out there.
The main idea of the website is providing information of haunted stories of each hotel. I guess this is to cater to people who are interested in haunted hotels.

Las Vegas NEVADA

Does this phrase sound familiar to you? "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."

Yeah, it's America'a Sin City.
Nightlife, casinos and all the fun in the lighted city. Bling Bling!

And the top attractions in Las Vegas according to TripAdvisor are mainly occupied by Cirque du Soleil.

And I just found out on UWBadgers.com that the University of Wisconsin and Live Nation announced DELIRIUM, a Cirque du Soleil live music concert, will take place at the Kohl Center on Sunday, March 4, at 8:00 p.m. Created and directed by Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, DELIRIUM is a multifaceted event of unprecedented proportion featuring Cirque du Soleil music remixed. Driven by an urban tribal beat and awe-inspiring visuals, musicians, singers and dancers transform the arena into joyous frenzy.

The base ticket prices are $97.50, $67.50 and $37.50. There is a $7.50 per ticket fee and a $2 facility fee added to the price of each ticket.

Allen Iverson Trade Saga

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Philadelphia 76ers' star Allen Iverson is now in the middle of a trade saga. Sixers chairman Ed Snider confirmed that the 76ers are gonna trade their 2001 MVP star. Eversince the NBA Finals appearance in 2001, the 76ers never looked like a team to beat. Iverson is averaging 31.2 points per game, 7.3 assists per game and 2.2 steals per game this season. He led the NBA in steals and scoring for a number of seasons. A.I., as he is often called by sportcasters, was reportedly close to become a member of the Boston Celtics in a trade rumor over the summer which never took place.

Iverson, the No. 1 pick in the 1996 draft and a seven-time All-Star, has won four scoring titles, two All-Star game MVPs and the MVP award in 2001 after taking the Sixers to the NBA finals. He has always stated that he wants to remain in Philadelhpia when trade rumors surfaced in the past. But this time, it seems to be time. Time to move on. Former 76ers and USA head coach Larry Brown criticized Iverson for taking too many shots and accused him of being selfish at times.

I am sure many teams are keen to sit down a negotiate a trade deal, but the ball's not in the 76ers' court. The Sixers will not probably get a good player-for-player trade with the season going into its 8th week (out of 24 weeks). Most probably they would just settle for first round draft picks for 2007 or some young players to rebuild the underachieving team.

Iverson is one of the most exciting players in the NBA league. In fact, he's one of my idols. I am talking about hustle, loyalty and respect here. Other players around the league has stated they have no problems having Iverson joining their team, from brawl hero Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets to star-with-a-going-nowhere team Kevin Garnett of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jack Ikegwuonu Rejoins Team Pending Burglary Case

Follow-up on the Jack Ikegwuonu's earlier arrest for allegedly stealing an XBOX froman off-campus apartment:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

There's even a fan made pic of Jack Ikegwuonu on XBOX cover (above)
I was thinking all the while that Wisconsin would reinstate him into the team because he IS the best CB in Big Ten. Wisconsin cannot afford to lose such an important player in their defense when they face Arkansas in the Capital One Bowl on January 1 2007.

MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin reinstated defensive back Jack Ikegwuonu on Friday pending further developments in his burglary case.

Ikegwuonu, a sophomore cornerback and All-Big Ten Conference pick, was suspended from competition and practice Dec. 1. Police in Dekalb, Ill., had arrested Ikegwuonu and his brother, William, about a week before and accused them of breaking into an off-campus apartment and trying to steal an Xbox game console.

The brothers face residential burglary and criminal trespass charges.

Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez said Ikegwuonu had been reinstated "pending further inquiry into his case." The statement did not elaborate, citing privacy laws governing student disciplinary actions.

Wisconsin will face Arkansas on Jan. 1 in the Capital One Bowl.

Friend Fetch - Myspace Friend Adder

Marketing though the Myspace network is a great idea. Brilliant. Genius in fact. Myspace has an approximate member base of 80 million members, who are a juicy target for marketers both online and offline. The Myspace Friend Adder called Friendfetch offers a pretty neat solution or gateway to expanding one's customer base. Creating a business profile on Myspace is not only a smart marketing tool but a necessary one in order make it big. Catch the trend while it's hot.

Snow Globe + Mouse= MouseGlobe

This little mouse is sure to bring a smile to the face of other people at your office, even if the smile originates as they wonder what exactly would bring you to buy something like this. If you are still feeling in the holiday decorating mood, the folks over at Thanko, the destination for weird USB gear has the thing for you.

This is a normal (sort of) USB mouse that is clear and has water inside the mouse body along with a snow man and the fake snow we all know and love from those cheap snow globes we get as gifts when family and friends go on vacation.

Plug the mouse in and different color LEDs make the water inside the mouse glow seven different colors. The buttons of the mouse a replete with a smiley face to spread the cheer further. The resolution is 800 DPI and the mouse needs either a USB 1.1 or an USB 2.0 port to operate. No external power is required for the light show; all functions of the mouse are USB powered.

Test Tube Aliens Can Be Found On Amazon.com As Well

I spent a lil bit of time watching the videos on youtube about the test tube aliens. It's fun and special. Certainly not any ordinary toy you get off the shelves of a typical toy section! DO check them out. Just search "Test Tube Alien" on youtube and you'll find the user who poseted many videos of the Test Tube Aliens.
And I just searched on Amazon.com for it since I have some gift certificates there, and yes they are available on Amazon as well.

Test Tube Aliens : The newest Japenese toy

I came across this on a website and thought some of you big boys might have some interest in this. Check out this cool toy: Alien Adoption World Collectors Kits

Test Tube aliens is the newest Japenese toy. Toys from Japan are always THE toys to get. Why? Coz they're cool and different. You don't see them in America. It now comes to life in a collectors kit. Science fiction in a real life, interacts online like webkins vs tamogotchi vs sea monkeys. Yeah Tamagotchi's really a big hit back then. I bought some for both of my sisters for Christmas 2004. Guess they must have tossed them away by now. Test Tube Aliens have been seen hatching youtube

ADD Water & chrysalis inside begins bubbling and cracks open ,minutes later an alien with a computer chip for a brain appears(its almost like the lilo and stitch ride at disneyworld in your own home),& heart starts beating.Take it up to the research lab online(always Free) & interacts through signals using infrared black white portal on the website, the portal communicates with your alien , you input the aliens reaction back into the website.
The adoption kit contains two aliens, 2 video games, an alien head gurglin keychain,a certificate of authencity,&feeding materials called sloog, nutrients for your alien grow in size inside the tube. After few weeks your alien grows to adulthood & you interact with it through the website .

These are selling on ebay for $40 (for just one alien not the other stuff) from the UK , a USA company has created this collectors kit with two aliens & membership to premium website filled with games and more features, and a bunch of stuff for just $40.
check out: http://www.alienadoptionworld.com

Order placed By December 19th will Arrive in time for Christamas. This is a numbered limited edition kit that is only made availble through the adoption world website

ATI Radeon X1650 Pro

This is the best value for money 3D graphics card that I can find for my tight $100 budget. The strongest 3D card for the $100 price range I would say.

I am still undecided on building a new custom PC although it has been some long 5 months eversince my previous one died after my apartment was flooded over the summer **sob**.
I know Amazon has the Audigy 4 with a $30 rebate right now. And I haven't tested my Audigy ZS 2 to see if it's still blasting. I never tested my NVIDIA 6600GT graphics card as well.

The Radeon X1650 Pro will meet your Windows Vista and basic gaming needs without overheating your PC or your wallet.

Some final exam tips for all those studying all out before the finals next week!

Although we encourage all students to set up a schedule that allows for regular review, we realize that students will fall behind. Unfortunately you can’t make up for lost time, but you can make the most of what’s left. Here are some tips to help you along the way.

* Prioritize in terms of the grade you want/need in each course, the worth of each exam, and your level of understanding in each course.
* Stay positive, think positive, talk positive.
* Make a plan and manage your time.
* Follow the plan.
* Study and rehearse ACTIVELY!
o Practice output, old exams and test yourself
o Don’t cover too many topics in one day. Instead, review and practice output.
o Don’t passively read over notes; ask yourself questions and answer them out loud and in your own words.

In the end, you may want to remember the sinking feeling in your gut next term and make some changes to your study habi

American Pie 5: The Naked Mile

The American Pie tradition is continuing on! After a so-so American Pie 4: Band Camp, the people who turned the American Pie Trilogy into one of the best reflective movies on American youngsters, they have decided to come out with American Pie 5: The Naked Mile.

New Jack Black Video (Tenacious D)

First Jack Black and Kyle Gass gave us the world’s greatest band. With the help of Dave Grohl and Satan, they now unleash the world’s greatest movie.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass have had a career as the world’s most awesome rock band, Tenacious D, since their pretty damn funny but short-lived series on HBO. That series, and a 2001 album, have garnered them a loyal following of fanboys and fangirls who like their twisted, sexually explicit, and wonderfully disgusting humor. Their movie, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, attempts to introduce their comedic, but actually solid, musical talents to a broader audience.

The movie was as I predicted - silly. So silly that some bits were actually funny in a weird way. Everyone else loved it, but I thought it was kind of ridiculous.

A movie with Jack Black in it must be very good I suppose. Look at School of Rock, Nacho Libre and now Tenacious D. No particular point, laughter is the best medicine as Reader's Digest always pointed out.

SONY MDR V700DJ Headphones

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I was going through a link on engadget for Sony's MDR-V700DJ headphones when I saw that currently on SonyStyle.com they are offering this pair of headphones with custom skins. I love to custom things. Express your individuality and decorate your case Thee are choices of 5 custom skins which you can select to express your style and preference. I have been monitoring this pair of headphones on Amazon

The price on Amazon was going up and down over that monitoring period but not enough to make my impulse purchase yet. I sold my Sony MDR-NC6 headphones whic featured noise cancelling function because I think it's too small, or rather not jumbo enough. Sony MDR V600 is another option I have considered but I prefer the color of V700.

Shop4miles.com Review

Shop4Miles is a new shopping engine which is going to give consumers to redeem Free Frequent Flyer Miles into monetary equvalent reward and that gives the power to consumer purchasing power what they like. It offers something different from traditional airline mileage rewards shopping sites; not only will shoppers find exactly what products they are looking for, they are going to get it for the best price. So, its going to distinguish itself with other engine. Because shopping & price comparison websites do not give any rebates or rewards where as shop4miles is providing that one

Shop4Miles offers multiple airline & loyalty programs to give users more choice and flexibility. They would like to have all of the major airline loyalty programs participating and as of now, they are off to a solid start. Shop4Miles.com launches with the participation of mileage programs for Alaska Airlines, Delta Airlines and US Airways.

Shop4Miles intends to distinguish itself with its pro-consumer innovations and merchant impartiality. Most shopping & price comparison websites do not give any rebates or rewards. Another Shop4Miles innovation allows shoppers to choose how they look at listings, whether it's by price, by category or by number of miles received. "You don't even need to be a member of an airline program to search for deals. Our vision is to change the way people shop online. That's why we're championing a model that is more informative, and gives something back to the consumer each time they make a purchase," says Shop4Miles President, Evan Strauss.

About Shop4Miles:
Shop4Miles.com was born when Evan Strauss, self-professed "mileage junkie" and former record company executive was looking to earn miles on his online purchases. He wanted to find, compare prices and earn mileage rewards in one search. Since no one was doing this, he set about creating Shop4Miles, a place where consumers can find, compare, buy and fly. Shop4Miles is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. They can be reached at 310-550-0434 or on the Web at http://www.shop4miles.com.

Unreasonable Dress Code in Kelantan

Kora Bahru Municipal Council announced a dress code for women in Kelantan! Even for non-Muslims, they should follow these guides. No tight pants. The funny thing is, those who support women rights argue that it's not their fault that men stare at their sexy butts. They say blame it on the hamsap miang cheeky men who have the lustful and dirty mindsets. Yeah, thank God I ain't living in Kelantan!

Common Myths Debunkked

Does swallowed gum takes seven years to digest??

Do black guys generally have bigger penises, while Asian guys have the smallest ones??

Does it take fewer muscles to smile than it does to frown??

Maxim has just released their new Common Myth and Urban Legend Debunkkment Section that examines which ones are true and which are false. Please weigh in your opinion as to which ones you think are true or false and why. Many people just believe whatever other people say and utter in front of them. But they never really go and google about it or try to find out the truth.

Uncover the myths and Urban Legends on Maximonline. They have put together some myths that are quite popular and interesting.
Just some nice info and fun reading. Don't make yourself look shallow in front of your friends. Impress them.

Jack Ikegwuonu Arrested on Burglary Charges - Xbox

Image
UW-Madison junior and Badger football cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu was arrested Saturday in DeKalb, Ill., and is being charged with residential burglary and criminal trespassing. Ikegwuonu was arrested with his twin brother Bill, who plays football for Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. At approximately 2 a.m., the residents at 815 Fotis St. in DeKalb, noticed their door was ajar and found two men inside the apartment, one of which was holding an Xbox, according to DeKalb Police Department Lt. Jim Kayes. Kayes said the residents then yelled and saw the suspects run from the apartment, with one running to 857 Fotis St., which was later found to be the residence of Bill Ikegwuonu. Police were called and found Jack Ikegwuonu in the area, and after being shown to one of the witnesses was taken to the police department. Jack Ikegwuonu later called his brother, who turned himself in to the police station. The charges have a minimum penalty of four years in prison and up to a $25,000 fine. “Its very early in the process to say how it will turn out,” said Kayes in regards to the case, but noted court cases had been scheduled for both of the suspects. Kayes also said the Badger football coaching staff had not yet contacted him. ESPN.com stated Jack Ikegwuonu was released on $150,000 bond Monday. Bill Ikegwuonu was released on Tuesday on $50,000 bond. The residential burglary charge is considered a felony and Jack Ikegwuonu may therefore be suspended under the UW Athletics Disciplinary Policy. UW Athletics Communication Director Justin Doherty released a statement saying, “We are currently gathering and reviewing the facts of the incident to determine our course of action, which may or may not include suspension under the terms of our student athlete discipline policy.” The UW-Madison Athletics Student-Athlete Disciplinary Policy was revised and approved in May to show the Athletics Board takes the past incidents of student athlete misconduct seriously. The new policy gives greater investigatory powers to the athletic department to look into incidents and allows the possible use of lawyers or private investigators. This incident comes after a series of events involving student athletes that led to the revised disciplinary policy. On Nov. 13, former Badger fullback Booker Stanley was sentenced to one year in Dane County Jail after being convicted of sexually assaulting and battering his ex-girlfriend. In September, UW-Madison sophomore and Badger linebacker Elijah Hodge was accused of stealing another student’s moped, but the charges were later dropped.

Why do I weigh less in the morning than I do at night?

Why do I weigh less in the morning than I do at night?

Answers:
because you burn cal. when sleeping and you hav nuttin in ur body

Other Answers:
because by night you've eaten more

coz u eat in day and night thats why Because your stomach is empty [of food and water] first thing in the morning. During the day you eat and drink water so by night, you'll have water weight to account for upto 2 lbs of weight gain.

Your body is relaxed by morning. That's when you should actually take a reading on your weight. And you should do it once a week. Every day you eat different things so the weight won't be consistent. Try to write it down weekly and then you can see what is your average weight.

Unfortunately it's only an artifact of your bodily processes. Overnight your stomach empties of food as digestion continues, and your metabolism continues at a low rate, burning up carbohydrates and converting them to carbon dioxide, which you breathe out, and water, which you excrete in several ways. So, particularly if you go to the bathroom before weighing yourself, you will be at your lowest weight in the morning. Then you get up, rehydrate yourself and start eating, and immediately your weight goes back up.

the word "Breakfast" referes to the breaking of the 8 hour fast (not eating) you go through while sleeping. When awake, you eat every few hours but while you sleep you go several hours without eating, and are only burning calories while you sleep. that is why you weigh less in the morning, beacuse you have gone a long stretch of time without eating. You loose calories when you are sleeping. It is normal.

I pray to God He hears you

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
And you begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

How to save a life
How to save a life

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

A Useful Credit Card Search Engine

Christmas is round the corner again, well it's a month plus away but retailers have already started the shopping buzz. Well, this weekend will be the launching of Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii (pronounced we, as in me and you). Well, kids, you always wish for a new fresh off the launch game console as your Christmas gift, dont ya? In America, what's shopping without Credit Cards ? For those who are looking for a credit card (or even maybe a few cards), it is always handy to have a website which lists down multiple credit cards and their benefits so that we can compare and contrast them easily.

Credit Cards (creditcardsearchengine.com) does just that. It lists down the categories of credit cards that a visitor has in mind. They even have categories for bad, average or fair credit.

Categories include: Low Interest, Cash Back, Rewards, Airline miles, student, business, and credit cards for bad credit.

Head over and have a peek and choose one card that suits you best. Be sure to understand the pros and cons of each card and weigh them accordingly to your needs. Make a smart choice, have a smart life.

Need online coupons to save on deals??

Many like to shop online because it's easy and simple. I have been shopping online for quite sometime and recently I am looking to buy a comforter since mine was lost in the flood 2 months back. Normally I would google for certain coupon codes.

For example, google "linen n' things 20%" or "kohls coupon" and you'll easily find something useful to your money saving habits. Couponchief is a nice place to visit. Nowadays DELL computers are cheap. They can be even cheaper if you get to use the right coupons. Couponchief.com is a good source for dell coupons, amazon coupons codes, travelocity deals, etc.

Win Your eBay Bids Using Bidnapper

Are you an ardent eBay fan? Are you an eBay member who just loves to spend all the money on eBay because you think you've got a great deal and it helps you save tons of money? Then you probably really need this, it helps you save more money.

Bidnapper. It helps users in the following ways:

-It helps to protect your bid(s) until the last seconds to avoid bidding wars. so this way, you can avoid bidding earlier and jacking up the price before the auction end time is near. this is really very true indeed.

-It stops your competition from searching by bidder to see what you are bidding on.

-Users don't have to be at their computer to bid. (the best!) it is automated so you dont have to be in front of a computer right before the auction ends for a possible bidding war. In most cases you have the upperhand if you use this kind of service.

-Many more on site. The service is free to try for 15 days to see how it works.

I am a frequent eBay user so I guess if you're into getting the items for the least possible money, then this is a good alternative if you buy a lot from eBay.

They have on their site multiple studies that show the effectiveness of sniping here: https://www.bidnapper.com/proof.php

Family of four held in drug bust

MIRI: A family of four, believed to be operating a drug distribution syndicate, was detained during a police raid.
The four were found with seven suspected clients when police raided their house in Kampung Sealine near Lutong bazaar on Saturday night.
The husband and wife were aged 54 and 41 respectively, and their two sons aged 19 and 21. Some 70 tubes containing what is believed to be syabu were seized.
All of them were brought to the Miri central police station by the anti-narcotics squad led by senior officers from Kuching, who had flown here to lead the raid.
A source said the family were in the midst of a drug deal with the seven men when police moved in. The source said police had been monitoring the family for some time, adding that the suspects were believed to have used their home as a distribution centre.
Also seized were over RM15,000, electronic gadgets, weighing equipment, personal documents and three vehicles.

collegemedium.com = craigslist for schools

CollegeMedium.com

this is a new website that lets users target students from specific schools for jobs & housing.

This is pretty much alike to websites such as exchangehut.com and craigslist. The main target audience users are students. Students are young and wild. (Sorry grad schoolers, :P) Students can be the dynamic drive to the success of this kinda websites. And the power of internet makes things so easily accessible and super easy communications wise.

To register, one would need a college email address (one that ends with .edu)
Students can post up things for sale. plus, every student that posts an item for sale get a free song from itunes (cool)
Non students can post jobs, housing and events for students, and respond to student marketplace postings.

This site is awesome since its users are mainly students (like me), there's a pre-set camaraderie.
And only students can view the posted jobs and housing listings, due to the user restriction policy of the website.

and one neat feature of this website is that CollegeMedium will send you a text message anytime someone responds to your posting. It's a nice way to alert the poster of your interest. So if you're into SMS, then this definitely fits you best.

The above screenshot is the page of University of Wisconsin's. You can select which college/campus you're at and it has many colleges listed. Give it a try through the link below:

New Skittles Xtreme Fruit Bubble Gum

The new item from Skittles - Xtreme fruit bubble gum, is not too bad, but I won't buy it again if I were given a choice. Like any ordinary bubble gum, it loses its taste after a short while (dang). The fruity sensation is not very strong.

I give it 3/5.

Mentos Sours Sucks

I gave this new Mentos Sours a try. Bought it from the Walgreens and State Street.

It is not really sour, and totally doesnt taste up to my expectations. This is lame if you were to compare with the Hi-Sour candy found back in Malaysia.

Bearing, believing, enduring, never ending

is bearing all things, is believing all things, is enduring all things, is never ending.

Present continous tense.

I heart life

life is full of doubts, undoubt them with your heart : together is the nicest place to be.
and sometimes doubts lead to distrusts, distrusts would lead to the death of the heart.
sometimes you just can't help to think, what do you want out of life, just like Weiping once asked, what's the purpose of life. then you might start to ponder, is this what you really want?
maybe you know, and you can't stop yourself from knowing, maybe you don't, and you can't find a way to know. Sometimes, you just don't know whether you know it or not. Maybe you do, but you choose to deny, maybe you don't and you choose not to accept.

and you wouldn't wanna give up something just because ...
no. your heart should never give up. when everyone fails you, you still have it right there, in your heart. and that includes whoever's in your heart.

Wi-Fi Through Your Camera's SD Card Slot?

A company called Eye-Fi has found a way to embed 802.11g wireless onto one of those tiny SD memory cards. The Eye-Film card is designed to work with digital cameras so you can wirelessly download photos or transfer them to an Internet site without connecting to a computer.

Engadget's now reporting that this technology is in beta, so hopefully it will be coming out soon. They say that Eye-Film will work with "qualified" existing digital camera models without upgrade, but there is currently no public list of makes and models. Wi-Fi on the SD has been tried before, but always with a larger than standard size, making them awkward or incompatible with most camera's tiny memory compartments.
The Eye-Film card is being designed to fit within SD dimensions, and a similar CompactFlash card is next in the pipeline. The company's site says that while digital cameras are the primary focus for Eye-Film, the company is taking PDA and SmartPhone functionality "very seriously." Of course, if you don't want to wait for this feature and are in the market for a new digital camera, check out these Wi-Fi-capable digital cameras.

天堂

Dedicated to my baby.

天堂 [Tian tang - Heaven]

No 3rd time lucky

Being denied 3 times straight is like a boxer getting knocked down 3 times.
He aint knocked out yet. He knows that's number 3. He knows the crowd knows it's number 3. But a true champ stands back up after he falls. Ready to fight again. Be a champ. Take the blow and let it flow.

everybody has problems in life ...

A young man was frustrated by the problems he faced in his life . He din 't have a Ferari , so he had to drive in his lowly Perdana to work everyday , He couldn 't afford a Banglow , so he had to settle for a semi detach house , and his wife was just a model , never a `super' model . He was having cofee with his old man one day and told him about the so called diversities he had to endure . His old man said that he had some friends who never have problems in their live and would bring his son to see them tomorrow .....Guess where were his friends staying ?.Yeah man, the cemetary ....
Only Dead people don 't have problems , be a Big Bro or a Big Sis to your family and friends next time ....remember , everybody has problems in life ...

The new iPod Nanos by Apple hit the shelves last week, but too bad there ain't no student discount available for them asof now. I need to buy one soon. Now it has an increased capacity of 8GB!

Aluminium casings are available in 5 colors. I was a lil disappointed that they did not release a white version. Afterall, that has been apple's trademark color eversince the iPod was introduced.

Do you want an Elmo TMX ??

TMX stands for Tickle Me Extreme.
Celebrating its 10 year annivesary, TMX is a must have!
Check it out:
http://cbs4.com/topstories/local_story_261141909.html

Excerpt from wikipedia:

The new Elmo doll, announced at the American Toy Fair 2006, is called TMX (meaning Tickle Me (Elmo) Ten or Tickle Me Extreme). The full look of the doll was not revealed until it debuted live on ABC's Good Morning America and arrived on store shelves on September 19, 2006. Even the box it comes in is designed so that the doll can not be seen without purchasing it. A preview flap is included, but upon opening the Elmo giggles and says, "no peeking." It requires six AA batteries (which are included), and costs approximately USD$40. Toy experts say that the delay is unprecedented, with only a few people in the media allowed to preview the product, all signing confidentiality agreements. In a promotional clip, Jim Silver, co-publisher of Toy Wishes magazine says "The first reaction I had was, 'Where are the wires?' Because I didn't think anything like that could move on its own."[5]

Toy analyst Chris Byrne told USA Today, "This is a quantum leap forward, another breakthrough in the preschool plush category." Byrne believes sales will be high, but the reaction won't be as unprecedented. "The culture has moved beyond that, the whole hot-toy phenomenon." He cites the fact there hasn't been such a craze since Furby in 1998.[6] However, some members of the media are expecting a large response.[7]

The new doll rolls around on the floor, smashing his fist on the ground and begging to stop.

Toys R Us stores have already began a pre-sale program for the doll, along with elaborate in-store displays with a digital countdown to the doll's launch.

A video of what the new Elmo can do can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4x-VW_rCSE
