After months of turmoil and battle for survival, the towel was finally thrown. It's official now, the smallest of the Big Three is now bankrupt. Chrysler succumbed to the global economy slowdown and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. In the meantime, Chrysler said it will close all of its plants starting Monday and they will remain closed until the company comes out of bankruptcy. At least three Detroit-area factories sent workers home Thursday after suppliers stopped shipping parts over fears they would not be paid. However, the Chrysler and Fiat deal does seem now very probable with the partnership supposedly to rebuild the old Chrysler into a new vibrant company. Normal production schedules will resume when the transaction is completed, which is anticipated within 30 to 60 days. So when Chrysler emerges from bankruptcy, the United Auto Workers union will own 55 percent of the automaker and the U.S. government will own 8 percent. The Canadian and Ontario governments, which are also contributing financing, would share a 2 percent stake. Can't believe the maker of the PT Cruiser which I rented from National is so broke.

My Ideal Hawaiian Vacation Getaway
I have been to many of the attractions in the United States but one that continues to elude my travel itinerary is none other than Hawaii. I still haven't gotten the chance to place the pin stack over Hawaii in my travelogue map. Speaking of which, it’s been almost a year since I last had my vacation and I think it is the time of the year to travel again. I am extremely hooked by the amazing beach resorts like those portrayed in the Hawaiian vacations which are shown on the Travel Channel. They are so ideal for a romantic getaway or a happy family winter vacation. Time and time again, I find myself breezing along with the host, enjoying the tranquility of an island where its natural beauty is further amplified by man-made wonders of the beach hotel. If you're looking for the whole authentic and unforgettable Hawaiian experience, I've got the perfect spot for you right off my bookmarks. I came across this Ka'anapali Resort, located on the beautiful Hawaiian island Maui, which promotes itself as Maui's most Hawaiian hotel. I have only known Hawaii by name and story. I am so excited when I get a chance to actually choose and stay in Maui Resort under the Hawaiian sun. This hotel offers a wide range of amenities for its occupants with a relaxing salon spa, sparkling swimming pool, two convenient restaurants at my disposal, fun Hula show, and an abundance of ocean activities just to name a few.
If you’re also planning a getaway, imagine you can plan a vacation of a lifetime, stay in a beach vacation hotel, sipping cocktail at the pool side, swimming in the ocean with tons of exciting water sports, heavenly bed and bath await to end your day, sounds like really there is no horizon of joy and relaxation. One feature of Hawaii which I wouldn't want to miss out is the real Hawaiian cuisine right in Hawaii. The cultural diversity in Hawaii's unique flavors of native ingredients is shown in the culinary specialties which are sure to satisfy my taste buds. I definitely won't regret this choice and would love to show off my vacation photos at the #1 Best Value Hotel in Hawaii named by Travel & Leisure Magazine. On a side note, it is also the perfect location for envying Maui Weddings or memorable honeymoons.

3rd Gen 2010 Toyota Prius Breaks 50mpg Mark - Get One
The 2010 Toyota Prius hybrid car can be anybody's dream. The 3rd gen 2010 Prius has upped its mpg mark to 50 compared to its predecessor's 45. The Prius is one of the best family hybrid car and it's everywhere on the streets (seeing is believing). Many people like the fact that it is affordable, environmental friendly and money saving at the same time. Of course, since the gas price dropped from the crazy $4, $5 per gallon frenzy, Toyota Prius' sales have slowed dramatically with the downfall. Nevertheless, it is wanted. Officially, it’s rated at 50 mpg city, 39 highway by the EPA, but TheCarConnection.com’s experts teased 69.5 mpg with judicious use of the gas and the Prius’ new battery-only EV driving mode.
The 2010 Prius has a ridiculous amount of high-tech gadgetry; solar panels, automatic parking, lane keep assist, etc. Toyota is expecting to take 40,000 preorders in Japan for its new 2010 Prius hybrid ahead of its official debut in May. For the sake of comparison, the Japanese automaker sold a total of 73,100 Prius hybrids in all of 2008.

OCZ Diesel 16GB USB Drive Not ReadyBoost Ready
The OCZ Diesel 16GB USB Drive does not support ReadyBoost feature in Windows Vista. This is what you pay for saving a couple of bucks. I snagged this 16GB USB drive during the 2008 Thanksgiving sale from NewEgg.com for a bargain price of $23.11 nett after tax. A whopping 16GB of space in a tiny USB drive, yet I can't allocate some of the space to execute the ReadyBoost function designed for Vista. How disappointing.
However, does ReadyBoost really boost up the performance by a noticable scale? Seems like the answer is no. Windows ReadyBoost function stores the unused program and data on the USB drive to make the read time shorter as it does not have to search through the system once more when you recall a program or data file. On a review posted by modulo, it seems like the ReadyBoost works best with a system which is low in RAM (512MB and 1GB). On systems which have 2GB and 4GB of RAM, ReadyBoost does little to jack up the performance.

Exploring Kissimmee Florida
When I planned my trip to Orlando and Miami, there was no Kissimmee in it. However, luckily I did cross path with Kissimmee because it has so much to offer, something the opposite of the Disneyworld in Orlando and the beaches in Miami. Kissimmee is located in Central Florida and is famous for its airboat tours.
I remember that Disneyworld was packed with teenagers and adults alike and herds of people thronged Mickey's wonderland from moment it opened its doors and until the closing hours. With Kissimmee, you wouldn't have to stand the queue as much! Check out the airboat rides and tours on Lake Toho, commented to be one of the best in Florida by many visitors. This exciting and informative tour puts you in a high performance airboat to discover about the local wildlife thanks to the guidance from the captain, a Florida native. After the boat ride, maybe you can go for something slower and bumpier in the Swamp Buggy Ride.
There are some water parks for you to splash yourself into and soak yourself up or challenge yourself to the adrenaline-pumping water slides. At the end of the day, catch some dinner shows to keep the excitement alive. The most notable ones are Capone's Dinner Show and Medieval Times.
If you are looking for something different, try the helicopter tours to see the beauty of Kissimmee from a bird's eye view. Believe me, it's a lot of fun. Kissimmee's Old Town offers you a different experience from the daily hustle-bustle of the city your from and I suggest you just go and be spontaneous when you're there. You'll enjoy the heart of Florida, Kissimmee.
I know the economy is bad, especially for the folks in the automotive industry. Why not drop your name in the Freedom to Enjoy sweepstakes to have a shot at winning a free getaway to Kissimmee? Kissimmee is giving away 3 weekend getaways (3 days/2 nights) for 2; and 2 weeklong vacations for 4. Sounds like a worthy shot!

Forwarding....
I was very active in forwarding emails back when I was in high school. Jokes, motivationals, musicals, inspirationals, gossips, ghost stories, scam stories, interesting spams, news, alerts, rare natural wonders, you name it. There was a lot of traffic in and out of my inboxes during what I call my heydays. Once I became a college student, I stopped the forwarding activity because there are so many more things which can be done online and actually can contribute to my life. As I stopped forwarding to others, people stopped forwarding to me gradually until this whole activity came to a halt. It was a transition of never ending chain mails to money making referrals -- all sorts of referrals. Remember the free iPod offer? You sign up a few friends to complete an "offer" and once the transaction, which often requires a credit card payment, is verified, you get credited towards your selected reward. Then more and more companies set up similar websites to offer a variety of rewards, all using the same scheme. Unfortunately, I got nothing out of those. I never expected to anyway.
