I myself is looking for a new camera within the next 3 months to replace my worn out Sony T-7.
Price is always a factor, but isn't the camera features the #1 factor in choosing the next camera? Either you sit your ass down and wait the deals to come to you, or you make your own move to research more about a few cameras in your shortlist and decide which is the best candidate as your next camera!
If you have subscriptions to computer & technology magazines (like I do), flip through the last couple of issues and see if they had any review of any of the currently hot cameras. Don't have subscriptions in your mailbox? Fret not. There's always the internet. This is our best bet. Odds must be low (like 1.02?)
Online reviews would have the important information of the performance of each model of camera and thus making it easy for us consumers to dig our brain and decide.
Try http://www.digitalcamerareview.com
It has a good database of camera lists and multiple links to multiple reviews on other sites. A brief check on my Sony T-7, there are six review links available.
Review Title Review Site Review Date
Sony DSC T7 Review Cameras.co.uk 9/18/2005
Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T7 CNet - ZDNet 6/29/2005
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7 Imaging Resource 7/12/2005

Sony DSC-T7 Review Pocket-Lint.co.uk 4/20/2005

Also, you can click on the View Opinions tab and read the feedbacks from consumers regarding the model of camera you're looking at. Sounds good? Now go get yourself a new camera coz I think many of us need some technology overhauling. Stop using that outdated bulky camera of yours and get back into the trend.
