Wisconsin Ranks #2 in AP Polls

Wisconsin men's basketball rose to no.2 spot in the latest AP polls released. This is somewhat expected after the teams above them suffered a loss in the week. That is the best position in Wisconsin men's basketball history. Could this be the best season ever? Just like what happened to the Wisconsin football team? We'll see when March looms. Stay tuned.

Wisconsin Up To No. 2 In Latest Poll
MADISON, Wis.-
The Wisconsin men’s basketball team is ranked second in the latest Associated Press poll, released Monday afternoon. That is the highest ranking in school history.
The Badgers received 1,722, including 21 first-place votes, to place them behind Florida, who returns to the top position following North Carolina’s loss over the weekend. The Tarheels fell to fourth behind No. 3 UCLA. Kansas rounds out the top five.
The Badgers are off to a 17-1 start this season, tying the school record for best start. UW has also won 13 consecutive games, tied for the longest active streak in the country.
Wisconsin beat then-No. 5 Ohio State last Tuesday at the Kohl Center before winning at Northwestern Saturday. The Badgers are the only remaining unbeaten team in Big Ten play this season. UW hosts Purdue on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT at the Kohl Center.
In the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Poll, the Badgers moved up one spot to third. UW received two first-place votes. Florida and UCLA are ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.
